Ratings are relative, 1-5, for a typical filament of this type. Start from your filament maker's recommended settings.

Use it for

  • Light diffusers and lamp covers, protective windows, cases where you want to see inside, and decorative pieces that benefit from a glassy look.
  • It keeps PETG’s toughness and moisture resistance.

Watch out for

  • 3D prints are translucent, not truly transparent. Layer lines scatter light.
  • Stringing and blobs are more visible in clear material.
  • Needs very dry filament for the cleanest result.
  • Clear and light colors yellow and haze faster in strong sun than dark ones.

Tips

  • For clearer parts, print slowly with thick extrusion and few layer changes.
  • Fewer or no infill gaps keep it clear.
  • Vase mode (a single outer wall) is especially clear.
