Use it for
- You want PETG’s weather resistance with extra stiffness: drone and RC frames, enclosure brackets, printer upgrade parts, and structural parts that must hold shape.
- Carbon fiber also reduces stringing, so prints often look cleaner than plain PETG.
Watch out for
- It wears brass nozzles quickly. Use hardened steel.
- Less impact-tolerant than plain PETG. It trades some toughness for stiffness.
- Costs noticeably more.
Tips
- Dry it thoroughly (about 65 °C for 5-8 hours) and start from the manufacturer’s profile.
- Heat resistance is only slightly above plain PETG (vendor datasheets list a heat deflection temperature of roughly 74-77 °C), so do not count on it for very hot places.
