- ASA keeps its color and strength through years of sun, rain, and temperature swings.
- PETG is the easier choice for a shaded spot or a few seasons. Dark colors last longer in sun than light ones.
- Print with thicker walls and good layer bonding so it stays watertight.
- PLA softens and sags in direct summer sun and slowly degrades outdoors. If it must be PLA, keep it in the shade and expect a shorter life.
